Pastored since 2003 by Ed and Marcy Pohlreich, Generational Hope Christian Center is a church where ordinary people are discovering extraordinary hope. The passion at GHCC – as our name implies – is for all the generations, from the youngest babies to our honored senior citizens.
A generation vision is when we have an understanding of how our actions and decisions affect the next generation. It is understanding each generation’s role in mentoring and passing on vision, character, God’s word, and stories of his faithfulness to the next. It is important to join the wisdom of the older with the zeal of the younger. Wisdom without zeal is BORING! Zeal without wisdom is DANGEROUS! So it’s joining the two, doing away with the generation gap, which robs us of the blessing of each other.
Generational vision causes young people to see the value in the older generations experience and wisdom, and it causes the older generation to not give up on the younger and think they are just irresponsible, and undisciplined.
