Core Values
Outreaches:
GL has been granted the favor of relationship within our community. In collaboration with our local police and fire departments, city leadership, school district and mayor, we strategize to help meet needs in our community. Some of our involvement includes the Maple Valley Community Center, MV Food Bank, Tahoma School District, and homes of the elderly and families in need. In addition, we are involved with Vine Maple Place, a transitional housing and support service to homeless single mothers and their children.
Leadership:
There is a great need for Godly leadership in the world today. Whatever arena you desire to enter, Generational Leadership endeavors to build up young men and women with leadership skills along with strength of character to affect change in their sphere of influence.
Character:
Character is a vital key in influencing those around us. When looking around at this generation it doesn’t produce much hope.
In view of this grim outlook, one of our major goals in the lives of each student is to instill character and integrity through teaching work ethic and the importance of honesty in your personal life.
Discipleship:
“Each one reach one” The heart of GL is to invest into the lives of others. As each individual is poured into they are then encouraged to turn around and invest into the life of someone else. What is learned is only knowledge, it’s when you give it away that it becomes a lifestyle. In addition, each student is discipled by a staff member who walks closely with them in helping to achieve their goals, both personally and spiritually.
Generational Vision:
At the forefront of our core values is the generational vision. What good is everything we teach and instill if it is all lost in a couple of years because we have not passed on what God has shown us to the next generation? We must w in the heart of the next generation and show them the faithfulness of God. We endeavor to keep the passion growing, not restarting in every generation because all we think about is ourselves.
